David Hughes Ecological Landscape Designer David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Penn State University and has worked since 1987 with top landscape design and ecological restoration firms. This background allows him to creatively bring together ecological concepts, aesthetics of traditional garden design, and elements of cultural heritage to a wide array of landscape design projects. David regularly participates in community based environmental education lectures and hands on volunteer work projects. He has lectured for the Bucks County Audubon Society of Solebury, Pennsylvania, the Association of Conservation Executives (ACE), Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve of New Hope, Pennsylvania and Franklin and Marshall College of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Society of Ecological Restoration (SER), Natural Areas Association (NAA), Pennsylvania Native Plant Society (PNPS), Millersville Native Plants Conference Program Committee, and the Buckingham Township Parks and Recreation Committee. David has worked as a consulting designer with Larry Weaner Landscape Design Associates since 2000 and is now an integral part of the full time design staff.
