Phil Larsen has been practicing landscape architecture since 1978. As the principal of Larsen Design Associates, an ecologically based landscape design and land planning firm he founded in 1994, he works regularly as a team with Larry Weaner Landscape Design Associates on large-scale public and private projects. Phil was previously a partner in Wells Larsen Appel, New Jersey’s largest landscape design firm. His awards incude ASLA National Honor Awards for the Chester County, Pennsylvania Open Space and Recreation Plan and the Flying Hills Golf Community in Reading, Pennsylvania; NJASLA Honor Awards for Kingsmill on the James Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, Merrill Lynch Corporate Center and Salou Touristic Resourt in Salou, Catalonia, Spain; and a NJ Home Builders Apex Award, Outstanding Development of the Year for Cherry Valley Country Club Golf Community in Princeton, New Jersey. Phil taught landscape design at Temple University and has lectured at several colleges and universities.
